Discover the Taste of Winter at Ampleforth Abbey
Ampleforth Abbey is introducing special taster tours which will run on Thursdays throughout February and March. The tours will give an insight into the traditional methods of creating the monastic produce which includes Ampleforth Cider and the award winning Ampleforth Amber.
The tour will start at the Cider Mill where Cameron, the orchard manager, will give an introduction to the processes used to make Ampleforth Cider. Visitors will also have a chance to visit the Bond where the cider and liqueurs can be observed in their oak barrels.
After the tour there will be a tasting session of Ampleforth Cider, Ampleforth Cider Brandy and Damson Gin followed by lunch.
Tours will begin at 11:00am on Thursdays throughout March and are priced at £12.00 per person.

· Ampleforth Abbey has been home to a Community of Benedictine monks since 1802. All visitors are welcome to join the Community in the Abbey Church for Mass and Divine Office.
